SOLEDAD, Calif. -- The Center for Investigative Action went to work over the last two weeks and found out about the alleged wrong doing at the Soledad Correctional Training Facility.
On Tuesday, the plot thickens, as one of the nurses says he's getting in trouble for speaking out about it.
This follows a state-wide investigation into the director of nursing for allegedly falsifying timesheets and drug records.
When Matt Pimentel, a nursing supervisor at Soledad's Correctional Training Facility and one of our sources, spoke up about alleged wrongdoing by his boss he said the department ended up going after him about it.
Angelia Britt, director of nursing, is being investigated by the State Attorney General's office for falsifying and approving fraudulent timesheets.
Documents show that in 2010 Britt allegedly pretended to perform an audit at CTF in order to recreate adminstration record sheets, claiming 1,200 drugs were missing, and never reported the drug losses.
Pimentel said when he witnessed some of this going on behind the scenes, he reported it to the department hire-ups and the state, and even signed a letter of no-confidence in her.
But just last week Pimentel, who told us he's now on stress leave, claims the table was turned on him and now he's facing disciplinary action by CTF officials for being "discourteous" about blowing the whistle on another nurse that was being investigated.
Coincidentally, Pimentel said the action was filed one day after the Attorney General's office filed its accusations against Britt.
Pimentel did not realse the disciplinary action paperwork to Central Coast News for legal concerns.
CTF still isn't commenting and said it's all because this is a personnel matter.
Last week, Central Coast News tried calling Britt, but never heard back.
On Tuesday, Central Coast News couldn't get through to her line.
Britt is still licensed to work and is still working at CTF.
The Department of Consumer Affairs said she has now filed a Notice of Defense to fight the accusations.
