SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif.- A third person is arrested in connection to the Panga Boat found near the Piedras Blancas Lighthouse early Tuesday morning.
San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Deputies say California Highway Patrol Officers found Jose Lopez, 44, walking along Highway 1 just north of the old Piedras Blancas Hotel at about 8:15 Wednesday night. According to deputies, Lopez gave officers a false name and failed to provide proper identification. Lopez has been booked in San Luis Obispo County Jail is in on an immigration hold.
The two other suspects have been identified as Luis Osiel Gonzalez, 23, and Juan Pedro Gonzalez, 23. Luis is in custody on charges of felony obstruction, resisting a peace officer, and battery of a peace officer. Juan is currently on an immigration hold.
San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Deputies are still searching for the other two suspects. No drugs were found in the boat, but 30 cans of fuel were found in the ocean.
