Man Rescued After Falling Near Cayucos Pier

CAYUCOS PIER, Calif.- A man had to be rescued from the ocean Saturday night after he and another person fell into the water near the Cayucos Pier.

San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Deputies say at about 8:45pm two people had fallen off the pier and into the water. A third person jumped in the water to try and rescue them.

One male and a female made it to shore on their own, but another man had to be rescued. He was transported to a local hospital for observation.
