Santa Maria Police Investigate Robbery at Local Check Cashing Business

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Santa Maria Police need your help in locating the suspect who robbed a check cashing business Monday afternoon.

Police say a man robbed the store located at 230 east Betteravia Road just before 3:00pm. The suspect demanded cash and threatened employees with a gun. After employees handed over the cash, the suspect took off.

The suspect is described as a male, adult, approximately 5'08" tall, weighing between 140-160 pounds. The suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with more information is asked to contact the Santa Maria Police Department.
