LOS OLIVOS, Calif.- The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department has confirmed the woman who was the passenger in a car accident on Highway 246 between Buellton and Solvang on November 24th, has passed away from her injuries.
According to deputies, Jenny Clark, 39, of Los Olivos died Monday at Cottage Hospital. Clark was in critical condition on life support with severe head trauma.
The driver has been identified as Benjamin Bettencourt, 36, of Santa Ynez. Bettencourt is facing felony charges of driving under the influence. He is being held in Santa Barbara County Jail on $500,000 bail.
