SANTA MARIA, Calif.- Jesse White says he has no tears left, only anger in his eyes for the person who is he says raped and beat his 16-year-old daughter, Shyanne White, who suffers from Autism.
"I want this person in prison for the rest of their life for what they did, and what they did was violent and evil," said Jesse White, the victim's father. "She actually had bruising all around her neck where you can tell that the suspect had actually tried to strangle my daughter."
The former Santa Maria High School Special Education student disappeared last Tuesday after she walked away from the Fred Finch Center, a treatment center in Oakland for mentally disabled teens. Staff at the center say they followed Shyanne to the Fruitvale Bart Station, but lost sight of her.
Two days later, she was found alone on a bus in San Francisco.
"The bus driver had noticed that she had been beaten and was concerned about her, he could see she was bruised and distraught so he called 911," said White.
As of Monday evening, Oakland Police aren't releasing the name of the suspect, but White says the suspect is a 36-year-old African American man.
"I don't think she knew what this man was doing to her. I think it's very traumatic for my daughter," said White.
White says he has talked and seen Shyanne since he found out she was raped, but can't bare to ask her about it.
"I couldn't do it, I couldn't make her relive what had happened, so I just smiled and talked to her and gave her hugs," said White.
Oakland police are scheduled to hold a press conference Tuesday and are expected to release more details about the suspect.
