Marijuana Found Near Panga Boat Incident Where Coast Guard Membe - KCOY Santa Maria, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo - News

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. - The Coast Guard has recovered several bales of marijuana near Santa Cruz Island where a Coast Guard member was killed when a suspected drug smuggling boat crashed into his boat.

Officials say they also collected several other items while they were out in the waters off the Channel Islands near the Santa Barbara and Ventura County line.

Officials would not go into detail about what else they found.

Two Mexican nationals are charged with killing Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Terrell Horne.
