BUELLTON, Calif. - California Highway Patrol Officers say the four car crash on Highway 246 that sent ten people to the hospital Tuesday morning was caused by one man driving under the influence.
Officers say 18 year old Gerrardo Torres Junior of Lompoc was driving drunk from Chumash Casino and Resort when he lost control of his Honda Civic around 6 a.m. this morning.
It happened about one mile east of Tularosa Road, between Lompoc and Buellton. The crash left two patients with serious injuries.
Upon release from the hospital, Torres faces charges of felony DUI, failing to drive within the lanes, and driving without a license.
