The City of Goleta is Giving Out Grants to Help Community Groups

GOLETA, Calif. -- The City of Goleta said it's giving out more than $20,000 in community grants. Applications are now available for people to fill out. The city is encouraging community and non-profit groups to apply. Grants per group go up to $2,500.

There are several categories for different projects including community organizations, cultural activities and special events. Scholarships have been offered for the past 11 years.

Previous awards have gone to the Alzheimer's association, Domestic Violence Solutions, Dos Pueblos Little League, Goleta Valley Senior Center, Stow House, Path Point and many other groups.
