SANTA MARIA, Calif - Police are looking for several carjacking suspects who stole vehicles in Santa Maria on Wednesday night.

Santa Maria Police received a report of a carjacking around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.  The victim said it happened in the area of Broadway and Alvin.

Two women approached a man in a car and asked for a ride.  The victim agreed to drive them and then the two females asked if they could pick up two more friends, another man and woman.

After they were all in the car, they told the victim not to drive west, out of Santa Maria city limits.  The male suspect and the female suspect threatened the victim with knives and made him pull over.  The male suspect slashed his knife at the victim, and then the four suspects took off with the victim's 2000 BMW car. The victim was left uninjured at the agriculture fields.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, police say two Hispanic men approached a male victim sitting in his car near Concepcion and Central.  One of the suspects held a handgun to the victim's head and then demanded his car.  The two suspect's fled in the victim's car, leaving the victim uninjured.  The 1992 Acura was recovered, but the suspects have not been found.

Police are still searching for the suspects in both of these cases.  Anyone with more information is urged to call Santa Maria Police at 805-928-3781.
