Police Recover Two Stolen Cars and Arrest Two Suspects

SANTA MARIA, Calif. -- Santa Maria police arrested two 17-year old men for allegedly stealing cars.

Police say they found a 1992 Acura Wednesday night in the area of Cypress and Linda. No one was in the car when officers found it.

Around noon on Thursday, a school resource officer saw a 2000 BMW that was stolen the night before. Officers said three people were inside the car. The front passenger jumped out of the car and fled on foot.

The other two people in the car continued to drive until police pulled them over on the 100 block of W. Mill Street in Santa Maria.

The two suspects were taken into custody. Police are still looking for the third person involved in the car-jacking.
