More People Moving Out of State than In, But Population Still Increasing

Posted: Updated:

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - More people are moving out of California than in to the state according to a new Census Bureau Report.

About 100,000 more Californians moved to a different state in 2011 than people who moved to California from another state.

But more than a quarter of a million people relocated to California from other countries. Along with "natural increase," which is births minus deaths, the state actually had a population increase in 2011.
