LOMPOC, Calif.- Stains of blood are left splattered on the concrete where a 15-year-old boy collapsed after being shot in the neck.

"He kept saying help me, please help me. So my mom ran in my room, banged on my door, woke me up and then that's when she told me he got shot," said Yvonne Luna, the victim's friend.

Yvonne Luna won't give out the boy's name, but she says the boy was shot inside her house on the 400 block of North M Street around midnight Tuesday, while he was staying the night with her son.

"He told me don't just stand there, help me, do something," said Angel Luna, the victim's friend.

Angel Luna says the two were asleep, when a man walked into the home, shot his friend, then took off.

"I came out I seen the blood on the wall, on the floor, on the sofa, on the door. I ran out to the alley I see him slumped on the garage door," said Yvonne.

Investigators search for leads, friends say they want answers.

"I hope they catch him and he gets what he deserves," said Yvonne.

As of Wednesday evening, the boy is in stable condition at Cottage Hospital. At this time, police aren't saying whether or not they think the shooting is gang-related.

Anyone with information regarding this crime is urged to contact the Lompoc Police Department.
