SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Melchiori Construction Company owner Mark Melchiori pleaded the fifth during a bankruptcy hearing on Wednesday.

Melchiori is accused of moving money from company accounts to his personal accounts.

He was also asked if he has any offshore accounts or assets and if his divorce covered-up money he owes to creditors.

Santa Barbara Bank and Trust alleges Melchiori owes them $9 million.

Melchiori's ex-wife was sued by Rabobank in December for more than $1 million in unpaid business loans.
