BIG SUR, Calif - Part of Highway One is still closed, as crews try to repair the portion of the road that was hit by a rockslide near the Big Sur area this weekend.

The road is closed near Partington Ridge Road, but crews will open one lane at 8am, 12pm, and 4pm tomorrow.  There are signs posted around the area to remind drivers about the closure.

There are alternative roads to Big Sur, like the Nacimiento-Fergusson Road, but Caltrans says the roads can be dangerous.  They saw any improvements, or creating a new route, would cost the state hundreds of millions of dollars.
