SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Santa Maria Police arrested a man on Thursday night for attempted murder.
Officers were called out to the 600 Block of South Lincoln Street to a call of domestic disturbance around 5:20 pm. When police arrived, they learned that a man had fired a gun.
They arrested 36-year-old Michael Russ for attempted murder, and several other charges including domestic violence, negligent discharge, and making terrorist threats. He was booked into Santa Barbara Jail. Officers say they recovered evidence from the home.
