DUI Checkpoint in Scotts Valley Planned

SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif. - The Scotts Valley Police Department is planning a DUI checkpoint on Friday, December 28th. The checkpoint will be located on Scotts Valley Drive from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM the following morning. This road is a known problem for drunk drivers.

Santa Cruz County Law Enforcement from "Avoid the Nine" will be participating.

Contact with the officer should last less than 30 seconds per car, unless the driver must complete a field sobriety test.
