Police Arrest Woman For Falsely Testifying For A Gang Member

SANTA MARIA - A woman is behind bars because police say she falsely testified in court for a gang member.

Police arrested 27-year-old Diana Escobedo of Santa Maria for allegedly making untruthful statements at the recent jury trial of Jesus Quevado.

Santa Maria Police Detectives launched a perjury investigation, and revealed evidence that she intentionally made false statements.

Escobedo was booked into Santa Barbara County Jail on $25,000 dollars bail.
