SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and Cal Poly Pomona float won the "Bob Hope Humor Trophy" for being the most comical and amusing float at the Pasadena Rose Parade this year.

The float, called "Tuxedo Air" featured penguins trying to fly.  Cal Poly students have been building floats for the parade for more than 60 years.

All of the flowers on the float were grown on the Central Coast, from as far north as Santa Cruz County.

The float was part of the 124th annual Tournament of Roses Parade.  This year's theme was "Oh, The Places You'll Go", featuring colorful floral floats, marching bands, and equestrian performances.
