About 200-thousand people get the flu each year in the U.S. and according to the Centers for Disease Control 3-thousand to 49-thousand of those sick with the flu will die.
Symptoms of flu include fever, runny nose, sore throat, muscle aches, headaches, fatigue, and coughing. Most people recover in 3 to 7 days. Those most at risk from complications are babies, the elderly, and people with medical conditions.
The health department and CDC recommend everyone 6 months and older get a flu vaccination, especially seniors.
