SAN BERNADINO, Calif.- More than two decades later a murder case has been solved. Two men from Santa Maria and Lompoc have been linked to a cold case homicide that dates back to 1989.
The suspects are Ruben Abad of Santa Maria and Anthony Solis of Lompoc. They are suspected of killing, 56-year-old Herbert Santos whose body was found in the San Bernardino area after he was stabbed to death in the 80s. At the time, detectives collected evidence but did not identify any suspects.
Now, years later, the cold case team reviewed evidence and linked the two men to the case.
