SANTA BARBARA,
Calif. -- Revenues for the city of Santa Barbara continue to grow.
The numbers are in and last month, the city received
more than $5 million in sales tax for the quarter ending in September.
That's the first
report for the fiscal year.
It shows an increase of 5.2% over the same period the
year before.
Sales tax is the second largest general fund revenue
and continues to show recovery from growth lost during the recession.
Sale tax results
for the December quarter, including sales during the holiday shopping season,
will be available in March.
