Santa Maria Fire, Knocks Down Two Story Structure Fire Sunday Night

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Santa Maria Fire Department knocked out a structure fire, Sunday night on Ballestral Street.

According to SMFD: On Sunday, January 6, 2013 at 11:24 PM, the Santa Maria Fire Department responded to a two story residential structure fire at 610 W. Ballestral in Santa Maria.

Three fire engines, a truck company, and a battalion chief responded to the incident. The fire was located inside a wall behind the fire place.

Crews had to breach an exterior stucco wall to extinguish the fire. Damage was limited to the structure only and estimated at $15,000.
