CBS is reporting cancer rates in the U.S. are continuing to drop, but a new government study found some cancers can be linked to people who are overweight or have human papillomavirus.
CBS said the report tracked research from 1975 to 2009. It showed fewer Americans died from Cancer since 1990, and have continued to drop by 1.8% each year for men and 1.4% for women.
The new government report shows the only exception to the drop of cancer diagnosis' is certain cancers that are linked to common health issues. The report found cancer diagnosis increases were linked to people with obesity and people with human papillomavirus (HPV).
