
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. -- The San Luis Obispo's Tourism Business Improvement District is launching a campaign on January 8th to recruit an ambassador for San Luis Obispo.
The San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce said they're offering a paid position for an ambassador. The person selected for the position will earn $50,000 a year. Job duties will include showcasing the city and the different features it has to offer.
People who are interested in applying can create a video explaining why they are the best candidate for the job. The video can be sent to ShareSLO.com. The chamber said people will be able to vote for their favorite candidate. All videos need to be submitted by January 25th.
Residents will be able to vote from January 25th to February 18th, then the top 10 candidates selected will do in-person interviews. A winner is expected to be chosen by February 25th.
