"Not Guilty" Plea for Former School Bus Driver Accused of Selling Drugs

Posted: Updated:

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - A former bus driver for the Lucia Mar School District will be in court in February to see if there is enough evidence for her to stand trial.

31-year-old April Nunez has pleaded not guilty to charges of possessing a controlled substance for sale.

Nunez was arrested while driving a school bus, carrying more than $1,000 in cash on her, but all of the drugs and a scale used to sell the drugs were found in her parked personal car, not on the school bus.

Nunez is due back in court on February 7.
