SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The San Luis Obispo math teacher accused of making terrorist threats has been located and arrested in Claremont.
56-year-old Brian Miller of Atascadero was arrested last April for emailing threats to the San Luis Coastal Teachers Association, saying he was "going to show up at a school office and kill himself and three others." He was sentenced to five years felony probation for terrorist threats.
In August, Miller entered a no contest plea in court. He then moved to Pomona and attempted to have his probation transferred to Los Angeles County.
Police say Miller failed to comply with orders provided by the San Luis Obispo County Probation Department. They say, recently, he called and threatened his Probation Officer there. Since then, there has been an active warrant for his arrest.
San Luis Obispo Police were able to determine Miller's location in Claremont. They communicated with the Claremont Police Department, who located and arrested him on Thursday. Police say Miller is set to be brought back to San Luis Obispo County for the arrest warrant.
