SANTA MARIA, Calif. - A wanted parolee led police on a wild high speed chase on Thursday afternoon.

Police noticed 25-year-old parolee Bradley Larsen was driving a stolen 2004 Silver Honda Civic.  The pursuit began at 1:30pm at McElhaney and Miller.

The chase lasted for several minutes, with Larsen driving at speeds up to 70 miles per hour.  Some nearby schools were put on lockdown.  Police attempted to stop the vehicle, but Larsen kept driving.

Police stopped the pursuit around Stowell and Western, saying it was too dangerous to continue.

Larson is still at large.  Anyone with more information is urged to call the Santa Maria Police Department at (805) 928-3781.
