SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. - About 500 volunteers will be trained this week to help with one of the largest studies to combat homelessness.
The study will count how many individuals and families are living on the streets, and will ensure that the ones at highest risk are given the necessities they need.
Volunteers will meet up in Santa Maria, Lompoc, and Santa Barbara over the next few days. Volunteers can still register and register at one of the trainings at www.CommonGroundSB.org or call (805) 451-5604.
