Duo Tries Running from Drug Bust, Arrested by Deputies

HOLLISTER, Calif. - Two people are in the San Benito County Jail, facing several drug charges after their arrest early Wednesday morning.  Members of the Unified Narcotic Enforcement Team (UNET) and the Hollister Police Department served a Search Warrant at a home on the 800 block of Brittany Circle.

31-year-old Pamela Smith and 31-year-old Alexander Sandoval were arrested for Possession of Marijuana for Sales and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) for Sales. Law enforcement seized approximately 333 grams of Marijuana, with an estimated street value of $3,330.00 (at $10.00 per gram) and approximately 1 1/2 ounces of Crystal Methamphetamine, with an estimated street value of $4,500.00 (at $100.00 per gram).

Both subjects were also arrested for Delaying a Peace Officer, as they attempted to run from the residence upon our arrival. SMITH was also booked for a No Bail Felony Probation Violation Warrant.

Law enforcement also recovered scales and packaging material, indicative of drug sales.

Smith and Sandoval were transported and booked into the San Benito County Jail.
