Two Men With Guns Demand Money from Food Maxx

SALINAS, Calif. - Two men armed with handguns entered the Food Maxx on North Sanborn Road Monday morning, wearing masks and gloves. They ordered three clerks at gunpoint to open the door to an office they believed contained a safe.

One of the suspects, unsuccessfully, attempted to kick in the door to gain access. Both suspects ran off without stealing anything during the robbery attempt.

The investigation is continuing.
