Felon Arrested for Tampering With Cars in Santa Barbara

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -  A felon is back behind bars for tampering with cars in a Santa Barbara city parking lot.

Police arrested 22-year-old transient David Nieman for opening car doors at the parking structure, located at 600 Anacapa Street.  When officers found him, he tried to run off, but they caught and arrested him.

Police say he had a few stolen items in his backpack.

Nieman was booked in Santa Barbara County Jail on $2,500 dollars bail.
