David Leonardo
SALINAS, Calif- Wednesday was the preliminary hearing for David Leonardo, the man authorities say punched a two and a half year old child to death.
A Monterey County Judge found there to be enough evidence for Leonardo to head to trial.
Leonardo faces one count of second degree murder, one count of felony child endangerment as well as one count of causing the death of a minor.
At Wednesday's preliminary hearing, a doctor explained that evidence shows Leonardo punched a two and a half year old child in the stomach and smothered the child after the infant told leonardo she had went to the bathroom in her pants.
Leonardo is set to be re-arraigned on all the charges he faces later this month.
