Traffic Delays Near Sanborn and John Street in Salinas

SALINAS, Calif. -- Police are going over the investigation of the fatal accident that happened a few days ago in Salinas.
 
The fatal hit-and-run happened near South Sanborn Road in Salinas. Police said the driver of a Honda Accord was hit by a Chevy Trailblazer. Police said the driver was pronounced dead that the scene. Another passenger was flown to the hospital. The Trailblazer was found nearby.
 
On Thursday police and several other law enforcement agencies will be reconstructing the traffic accident and looking at skid-marks from tires to better understand how the accident happened.
 
They plan to be out for a few hours.
