Lompoc Flower Festival Accepting Applications for Queen

Posted: Updated:

LOMPOC, Calif. - The City of Lompoc is accepting applications for the 2013 Flower Festival Queen.

Applications to be the next queen are now available through the Festival Association Office, which is located at 414 W. Ocean Avenue or through offices at Cabrillo and Lompoc High Schools.

A young woman must be between 16 and 21-years-old to run.

All completed applications are due by January 31.

This year's theme and date for the Flower Festival has not yet been announced.

Last year, there were threat that funding could be cut and that this year's festival may not have a  parade as decades had in the past.

The reason for no parade all came down to funding the city of Lompoc simply did not have.
