PASO ROBLES, Calif. - New information about a juvenile hall that two Central Coast supervisors
are looking to use as a prison and solve prison overcrowding problems.
The state has declared the property in Paso Robles as surplus. But it may
not be for sale until 2014.
Once the property is put up for sale anyone can try to negotiate a deal
and buy the land. Monterey and San Luis Obispo counties have expressed interest in using the facility.
Nothing can happen until legislators decide on a price and selling
availability.
