SANTA BARBARA,
Calf. -- Santa Barbara City Fire needs your help in finding a suspect they say
" "deliberately" set fires in within days of each
other.
Firefighters
are investigating four fires set right near each other in an area
called "TV Hill".
On Monday, a
fire threatened homes near the 400 block of Loma Alta Dr. then on Tuesday, another one burned just four
blocks down on the same
exact street.
And Santa Barbara City Fire says this isn't an
accident.
They wouldn't say how these fires were started but
say they're man made.
"There
are all kinds of motivational factors involved in serial fire setters everything
from societal issues, revenge and pyromania but in this case we don't know why
someone is setting those fires and that's what we hope to find," says Santa
Barbara City Fire Marshall Joe Poire.
These two fires come on the heels of another
fire last weekend behind a church on 935 San Andres. They are
also investigating a fire set in that are back in
December.
The fire on Monday damaged a home and firefighters
warn residents to be on the lookout.
Firefighters are looking for witnesses who may have
taken cell phone video or photos at the scenes of these fires.
Anyone with information should contact the fire
department.
