MORGAN HILL, Calif.-- Morgan Hill Police say they were sent out to reports of an residential that was interrupted on the 400 block of Diana Avenue.
The victims came home and opened their garage door remotely and were shocked to find a vehicle parked in their garage. They were even more shocked to see a male subject, later identified as 23-year-old Mohamed Omer, in their garage. The victims held Omer until police arrived. Omer's gold Honda Odyssey van was parked inside the victim's garage and was loaded with thousands of dollars worth of the victim's property.
During the course of the investigation, two additional suspects were identified and eventually located at a nearby restaurant. They were identified as 28-year-old Joseph Barrios and a 13-year-old male juvenile, both of San Jose.
The victims say they had misplaced a garage door opener and a set of keys to their vehicle in the past few weeks. Officers located the keys and garage door opener inside of the suspect's vehicle.
Omer and Barrios were later booked at the Santa Clara County Main Jail and the juvenile suspect was sent to Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall. All were charged with residential burglary.
