WATSONVILLE, Calif. -- Two teens and an adult were arrested Thursday for firearm ammunition violations, probation violations and gang enhancements, according to Watsonville Police.
Officers said they were on patrol when they spotted a Brown Ford Windstar driving on Union Street that was occupied by three males, including a driver who appeared to be about 14 years old. Watsonville Police said the minivan matched the description of a vehicle involved in a reported shooting earlier in the evening in Pajaro.
Watsonville Police conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle on the 100 block of Second Street. According to police, the 14-year old driver was unlicensed. The other occupants were a 16-year old male and an adult male, Roberto Cervantes. Police said all three occupants were in possession of shotgun ammunition, and a shotgun was found in the minivan. The two juveniles and Cervantes were arrested for firearm and ammunition violations, probation violations and gang enhancements. Police say it is unknown at this time is the vehicle was involved in the earlier shooting.
