CARMEL HIGHLANDS, Calif. - Carmel Highlands firefighters responded to three divers in distress off Point Lobos Reserve south of the Carmel Highlands.
When firefighters arrived on scene the divers were said to be in trouble from the high surf. They used an inflatable rescue boat to get two of the divers to shore, while the third was brought in by a kayak.
Once on shore, the divers were examined and further examination was not needed.
Carmel Highlands and CalFire partner together with one engine that is staffed with three firefighters and one paramedic.
