CASTROVILLE, Calif.--Deputies responded to a domestic violence call just after midnight Wednesday morning in the 13-thousand block of Brisa Del Mar.
The victim told deputies that the suspect, Adam Torres, had thrown her to the ground and tried to choke her. She says he also stabbed the wall several times with a pocket knife.
The victim says neighbors began pounding on a wall, allowing her to escape.
Deputies arrested Torres and he was booked into the Monterey County Jail.
