Santa Maria Man Arrested for Allegedly Stabbing A Man In The Torso

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - A Santa Maria man is behind bars for allegedly stabbing another man in an alleyway on Thursday afternoon.

Santa Maria Police arrested 42-year-old Joseph Moreno for stabbing a male victim in his fifties while he was taking out the trash on the 500 block of West Orange Street shortly before 4:00pm.   Moreno allegedly stabbed the victim in the upper torso.

Police found and arrested Moreno a short time later.  Moreno was booked into Santa Barbara county jail on attempted murder and robbery charges on $500,000 dollars bail
