Armed Robbery at Pilot Gas Station in Salinas - KCOY Santa Maria, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo - News

SALINAS, Calif.--Police are investigating an armed robbery Thursday evening at the Pilot gas station on the 900 block of Work St.

Investigators say a heavy-set Hispanic man in his late 20s, walked into the station just after 7 p.m., armed with a stainless stell semi-automatic weapon.

He was given an undisclosed amount of money, and then ran to a waiting car. The vehicle is described as a white, late 80's or early 90's Honda or Toyota.

The suspect is still on the loose.
