Loaded Weapon Found in Car Fire Investigation

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - A car fire is under investigation in Santa Maria and a loaded weapon was found in the car early Friday morning.

It was turned over to the Santa Maria Police Department.

The fire broke out around 1 a.m. Friday morning at 824 South Depot Street according to the Santa Maria Fire Department.

Firefighters found a fire on the hood of the car in addition to a small fire near the trunk of the car.

The fire was doused within five minutes.
