
SOLEDAD, Calif. -- Deputies arrested 26-year old Victor De La Rosa of Soledad after a high-speed chase with speeds reaching over 110 miles per hour in Soledad.
The suspect was caught around 3:00 p.m. at Topo Road and Metz. CHP said officers were chasing the suspect on Highway 101, then through the city of Soledad. Local police put schools in the area on lockdown while they were going after the suspect.
The chase continued along Metz Road heading North. CHP said the suspect was eventually caught after officers layed down spike-strips in the roadway near Topo, the suspect was caught a few minutes afterwards.
De La Rosa was arrested and taken to the Monterey County Jail for an outstanding no bail felony warrant for a previous domestic violence, assault charge, violation of court order and several vehicle code violations committed during the pursuit.
