Santa Maria Police Look for Suspect in Early Morning Stabbing

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Santa Maria Police need your help in looking for a suspect who allegedly stabbed a man on the 300 Block of South Thornburg early Tuesday morning.

According to Police:

On February 5, 2013 at about 0217 hours, Santa Maria Police Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of S Thornburg St in response to a stabbing.  Upon arrival, officers contacted a male subject, in his 30's, who suffered an apparent stab wound(s) to his upper torso.  The injury(s) were non life threatening and the victim refused medical attention.  

During the course of the investigation, it was learned that the victim was standing just outside a residence on Thornburg St when he was approached by the suspect who later attacked him.  During the attack, the victim sustained at least one stab wound to his upper torso. 

The motive behind this stabbing is still under investigation.  Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact the Santa Maria Police Department at (805)928-3781, ext. 277.
