Hit and Run Victim To Be Honored At Baseball Game

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The victim in the deadly hit and run from Santa Barbara last month will be honored at the Santa Barbara Dons first home game of the year.

His parents will be throwing out the first pitch at Eddie Matthews Field on February 26th.

Chavez served as the Junior Varsity Baseball Coach for Santa Barbara High School last year.  He was killed on January 15th while walking near Highway 101 and Ortega Street.  The driver, Lau Van Huynh, was arrested for the crime on January 25th and was booked in Santa Barbara County Jail on $1,000,000 dollars bail
