Central Coast New Tech High School Gets New Mascot

NIPOMO, Calif. - Central Coast New Tech High School has unveiled its new mascot.

The school presented it at the Lucia Mar School District meeting on Tuesday night. After a year of deciding, students chose to use a dire wolf as a mascot and designed the graphics themselves.

Principal Dan Neff tells Central Coast News that the school choose the animal because it is a mythological creature, made popular in video games, and is known as a survivor.
