Riverside -- Police are searching for a suspected cop-killer. Investigators say Christopher Dorner ambushed two Riverside officers who were stopped at a light. Details are still sketchy at this point, but FOX News is reporting the two Riverside officers were hit, one died and one is now in surgery. Police in Corona report Dorner was involved in a shoot-out with officers there. One Corona officer was grazed by a bullet before Dorner got away in a Nissan Pick-up truck.
CBS is reporting another officer involved shooting in Torrance in which suspected gunman Christopher Dorner may have been shot and killed.
The LAPD issued a statewide alert early this morning, which is still in effect, saying Dorner may be heading toward San Diego. Dorner is considered armed and dangerous. An alert issued for law enforcement in Santa Barbara County is also still in effect.
Dorner is also a suspect in a double murder Sunday. The former Los Angeles police officer and Navy Reserve officer is accused of shooting and killing a Cal State Fullerton basketball coach and her fiancé.
Dorner may be driving a gray Nissan Titan. The pick-up truck has a ski rack and may have a California plate 8D83987 or 7X09131.
