Hit and Run Suspect That Killed A Man And His Dog Posts Bail

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The suspect in a deadly hit and run that killed a man and his dog in Santa Maria has been released from jail.

19-year-old Alvino Corona of Santa Maria posted bail, set at $50,000 dollars. 

Corona lost control of his Honda CRX and crashed into a chain link fence, and killed a 56-year-old man on Tuesday night.  Police say Corona and his 18 year-old wife Veronica Corona took off on  foot, but then returned to the scene more than an hour later. Alvino Corona was later arrested for felony hit and run.

The name of the victim has not been released.
